The Board holds hearings for students who have been charged with student conduct violations and who have requested a formal hearing. The Board determines if the student is responsible for the conduct violation alleged. This is an administrative hearing not a legal system hearing. The rules of evidence and the guidelines for determining responsibility are unique to the administrative hearing. There is a training session for Board members. The Board does not have regular meetings and all members do not necessarily participate in every hearing. Participation is based on availability and there must be a minimum number of Board members present for the hearing to take place. There are 2 graduate spots on the Board.
