After ACLU outcry from an attempted draconian revision to UCSD PPM 510-1 .9 (Outdoor space) and .12 (Posting of Literature) in 2008, this committee formed to incorporate feedback from students to the 'free speech' policy.
There is concern that some of these changes will impact freedom of speech and freedom of assembly as well as academic freedom.
