Deborah Wingard is Professor of Epidemio
logy in the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine at the UCSD School
of Medicine and UCSD Director of the Joint
Doctoral Program in Public He
alth (epidemiology) with San Diego State University. Dr. Wingard is widely
recognized for her research on the epidemiology of chronic disease, partic
ularly gender and ethnic health disparities.

Sandra Daley is Assistant D
ean of Diversity and Community Partnerships and Clinical Professor of Pedia
trics at the University of California San Diego,
(UCSD) School of Medici
ne. She is an alumna of both the Kellogg Leadership Fellowship Program and
of LEAD San Diego, a local leadership program. Dr. Daley is the Principal
Investigator for the UCSD Comprehensive Research Center of Excellence in He
alth Disparities.

Jean Y.J. Wang is a Distinguished Professor of Medicin
e and the Associate Director of Basic Research at the Moores UCSD Cancer Ce
nter. Dr. Wang received her
Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of
California, Berkeley where she discovered the first protein kinase-regulat
ed metabolic pathway in prokaryotes with Dr. Daniel E. Koshland, Jr. Dr. W
ang's current research
is focused on the signaling network that regulates
the cellular decision to commit suicide under stress.

Heather Bentley i
s Assistant Center Manager for the UCSD HIV Neurobehavioral Research Center
(HNRC) where she manages resources and operations for several major HIV re
lated grants. She also oversees the UC Center for Medicinal Cannabis Resear
ch (CMCR), a state-funded Center funding clinical trials of cannabis. Heat
her is also active in the City Heights community as a member of the Communi
ty Planning Group, Project FaceLift Steering
Committee, and South Castl
e Neighborhood Association.
