This workshop is offered to assist those individuals interested in bu
ilding a human network which focuses on building a positive graduate commun
ity. It is designed to assist participants in developing communication skil
ls across cultures. Emphasis will be placed on identifying stereotypes and
cultural faux pas. We will investigate why they occur, and what you can do
to eliminate them. We invite you to join us and in learn how to become an
"Interculturalist!"

rksheets and small-group discussions designed to take you through the steps
that will help you make an informed and affirmative choice of a career out
side of academe—You will likely have more than one!

sion 2: Translating Your Credentials: identify your intellect, skills, e
xperience, and accomplishments, plus turn your CV into an effective and n
oticed resume

Session 3: I Have an Interview—Now What?: develop a succe
ssful dialectic interview environment, practice a mock interview, and lea
rn proper negotiation techniques
